This page explains how content on this site is created, checked and kept up to date. Our goal is simple: publish AI and developer guides that are genuinely useful, honestly tested, and clear about their limits. If we ever fall short of what's written here, tell us and we'll fix it.
Everything is tested before it's published
Guides and reviews are run start-to-finish on our own machines and accounts before they go live. The screenshots are ours, the error messages are the ones we actually hit, and the rate limits and prices are the numbers we measured at the time of writing — not figures copied from a marketing page.
We date and re-verify our work
Every guide and review carries a "Last verified" date: the day someone on the team last re-ran the steps and confirmed they still work. We re-test popular content on a schedule, and whenever a platform changes its pricing, free tier or behaviour. Material changes are recorded in a visible changelog at the bottom of the post — we don't silently rewrite history.
We state the catch
Every "free" tool has a catch — a rate limit, a data-training clause, a credit-card trap, or a deprecation risk. We put those in a clearly labelled section rather than burying them, so you can make an informed decision.
Accuracy and corrections
We aim to be accurate, but the AI landscape changes fast and mistakes happen. If you spot an error or something that's gone out of date, contact us and we'll correct it and note the change in the post's changelog. Corrections are treated as a normal, expected part of running a living publication.
Independence and how we're funded
The site is free to read and reader-supported. It may display advertising, and the newsletter is free to join. We do not accept payment in exchange for a favourable review, and no advertiser or vendor gets to approve our content. When we recommend a tool it's because it earned it in testing — and we still tell you its downsides.
Use of AI in our workflow
We may use AI tools to assist with research, drafting or editing, but every published guide is reviewed, tested and edited by a human who takes responsibility for it. We do not publish unreviewed machine-generated content.
